The Break

A well-deserved break with friends.
When thoughtful friends who sometimes pour out affection more than family members ask for a break together, you must never deny them.
The deep sense of understanding and warmth will ooze the trip and make it down memory lane for a long, long while.

My friends took the initiative to organise a get together away from work and home; to distract our tired minds and bodies. So, here we go...Chiangmai-Chiangrai affair.
Most of us have heard of the serenity of the destination and we were geared up for a meaningful time together.

On arrival at Chiangmai. It was a no fuss landing and though the group is small, it was big enough for a tour. All looking forward to good moments. The group members are the best to travel with as there were hardly any disagreement and bickering and so the pleasant composition accentuated the trip with wonders.

We had a most entertaining tour guide; Yin Yin. She speaks fairly good English and we could understand her little jokes here and there. She was thoughtful and ever ready to meet our needs. I must say she was a good guide.

Our first meal was a buffet lunch at a local restaurant where we were entertained by a local artiste who indeed had our tastes at heart as he was rendering away hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s... summer kisses winter tears...I am on top of the world...nostalgic and memorable.

Then Yin Yin said if we do not stop by this temple, then it was as if we did not visit Chiangmai.
My friends were told of the history of the place.

But perhaps the best part of the place was when we got to see the whole city as the view there was panoramic. From the left, Lee Lan, Pat, Lay Suan, Loy, Poh Chiok and Chui Yean stole the view with their beautiful pose. They are a fun-loving crowd, always knowing what to do and not to do. It's great hearing them talk and decipher over matters of life.

This is the jackfruit tree. Big and juicy fruits; good for the eyes.

This is even more catchy. Sleeping away, they do not seem to have any cares and the crowd is told not to disturb them...what a life.

This pose made the day for all of us.
Pat and Justin posed for the picture of the year; a most amicable couple.

Day 1 afternoon in Chiangmai.
