Blessings

 The Day

I thought it would have been my last in 2014 but Pn Norhan, the senior assistant,  made it happen for me again this year.
So, though held on a week day, parents took time off to be with their children, giving them their due support. Speech day this year was a simple occasion but nevertheless full of meaning. I am grateful to be a part of the day for, really the last time of my teaching career.

The stage was again set for the occasion. So neat and pretty.

There were many who came and skipped class to be with us especially the cohort of the previous year.
I knew of two. They told me they were not coming the day before but I managed to persuade them not to miss it as it would be the one and only time for them ; thank you children for coming.

This is Jonathon. The best of his class in 2014. This child is prim and proper; doing what is right most of the time and staying top all the time. He has a sister in the same format. So the parents are to be praised for raising such exemplary kids. He is good at languages, calculations and the sciences. He is a great photographer and is super helpful. He is a good son. If more this kind is found here, the school has more stories to tell.

Abigail is truly pleasant, hardworking and responsible. All assignments given would be seriously considered and done. Active in the school orchestra team, she is a prefect to behold. All will be caught red-handed. She is a delight to have. A straight A PT3 candidate.

His mother has taught him well. She is behind the well-mannered child. This I can confirm for I have met her a couple of times. Rama's dear mother is a very concerned parent seeing to the school calendar carefully before planning any trip for the family. Though they made a trip to India close to his exam days for prayers, Rama made it as one of the straight A PT3 candidates too. The obedient disposition he displays in school is commendable indeed.

Coming from a home of scorers, Jin Shien has been named the top candidate for the PT3 cohort of 2014 and his brother was once named the No.1 2013 SPM candidate too ! So, a family of No.1s. The parents must be grateful to the school but the school too is proud to be their alma mater. Keep up the good show girl. Almost every morning, it was Tusyita, Abigail or Jin Shien who will come up to me and help carry my bags to the office. Unforgettable.

Nisyantini is daughter to the counselor of the school. She is the No.1 SPM candidate. Her 9A+ gives her the coveted bursary which promises financial assistance and a bright future. The dentist to be is a deserving candidate; all the more so because she is a teacher's child. Someone told me that God is especially tuned to teachers' children. In all cohorts, you will see teachers' children scoring the best and bestowed scholarships. Her brother too was a scorer in the 2013 cohort. It runs in the family. Glad for the mother who truly works hard in school for the betterment of students and teachers.

Kishern is tall; in height and in scores. Congratulations young man. Though I do not teach him, I know he is a keen learner and always ready to be at his best. He is into IT.

He is cheeky but clever enough to stay out of trouble in his final year and to end up a straight A scorer. Well done Hari. He gets into some calculated mischief at times but I am truly glad that the guy did his parents proud. Stay smart and good, son.

This is another lady to behold. You Jenn, the head girl was named the best overall student for her straight As and involvement in school co curricular activities. Small and demure in disposition don't get into trouble with her karate kicks ! A black belt holder. Guess what. Mother is teacher Lee Ling. See, another proven fact that teachers produce scholars !
Blessings aplenty for teachers' children.
Now if you are a man, get a teacher for a wife. Nothing to lose, everything to gain.
Try.

So, to the cohort of PT3 2014, congratulations and continue to score the best for your Alma mater.

SPM 2014. I was not able to get other photos which I would have loved to talk about. Remembering Maisarah and Nadhirah who are serious learners and at the same time able to play hard too. They manage their time well and know when to play and when to learn. Congratulations to all and may the future stay bright and good for you all.

God Bless.
