Grateful

Goodbye to 2014; a year of trepidation and unforeseen circumstances.
It's goodbye to the year.
Grateful to be able to go through it with God's mercy and provisions.

Hello 2015.
It's upon God's mercy and provision that we paddle through; protected and kept under the wings of the Almighty One.

Christmas came and went. It was a memorable one as the girls came home despite a tight schedule at work. What greater joy than to have them home to celebrate the season. Thank You dear God for journey mercies and safety. This year we had Por Por with us. She had to be with us for though she is independent in many ways, she was coerced into spending time with us because of a bad fall.

The scare was real. So, she has to tread on careful ground. May the Good Lord continue to watch over her and give her speedy recovery so that she can be up and about and be her normal self again. She has taught me a lesson; we may be independent but it is still the greatest privilege to have loved ones hovering around you. No man is an island.
This is also one of the reasons why I have been kept so busy.

Perhaps, this is a sad tale to tell. Though the fish has been with us for more than 10 years and the faithful Allie feeding it all so well, it had to leave us on Christmas eve. The Yellow One finally called it a day after having been in existence for about 35 years? It was first bred in Muar by the late Grandpa Lau but had to be carted up here as grandpa and grandma had to move away from the family home. So kept here under the care of Allie, it brought much pain and sorrow to her at its demise. Poor Allie could not believe her eyes and kept ranting. We have to remember everything must go; one day.

We discard the sad news and fill our hearts with a cheer. God bless little Emily; Grace's and Aaron's baby. We are delighted at the good news and continue to pray for her growth, physically, emotionally and spiritually. We ask that Emily will bring joy and cheer to everyone around her and be a blessing to all who come into her life. Thank you dear God.

This is so Esther.Though she looks fragile, she is so into men's working domain. She prefers the tool box to dancing skirts and uses the hammer like a pro. She also thinks she can conquer the world with her climbs and runs and is never sedentary for a moment. I woke up one morning to find this pair of cowboy shoes all covered with mud; she had just returned from another Epic Build in Batang Kali. She confessed that her hands and legs itch whenever she is away from action for too long. I hope and pray she will continue to stay happy and be fulfilled in her search for her inner self.
God Bless my child, I pray.

More cheer. Sara finally has agreed to wear the ring.
She feels she is still the baby of the home; but the beau does not think so.

We pray the wedding day will arrive soon; not a baby anymore.

This was a scenario that I could not forget on Christmas day.
Both tried the cigar with style.
May they continue to have greater bonds together.

Seafield of 2004.
I looked at them with pride and joy.
All have turned out well and are doing good in their careers. They remind me that being a teacher is a good calling for we are a part of many proteges' lives. It is meaningful to nurture people and teach them values of life. Thank you God for allowing me to be a teacher.

Grateful I may be, I continue to ask for God's mercy upon the lives of so many who have suffered under the brunt of the cruel floods. May they quickly recover from their loss and be back to normal. For all that they have lost, may they be spared of further calamities.

God have mercy, I pray.

The year ended just too sad with a reminder of the aviation crashes suffered by Malaysia.
It is just too painful to relate and recall.
Be merciful and gracious, O God as we commit our dear country into your hands.
Protect us , I pray.

May we all have a safe journey through 2015 with God.
