The New Hope

 Another year of aspirations for students, parents and teachers but you wonder who is the most anxious of them all... papas and mamas of course.

Every year we try to create a new hope for everyone.

The students wish to do well for the present situation but most of the time they begin with great determination but may not end that way.

Every year the ones who completed the PMR ask for the sky; they want to be engineers, doctors, lawyers and we get knocked out when they are placed in classes that may not lead to their careers. 

The pertinent question is : why did not they aim through their studies in the beginning ?

So there is this tug-of-war to perform; teachers get tired with explanations and parents get exasperated when their children are not in the classes they request.

It is an annual war.

But I believe the war is a never ending one.

Is there an end?

No.

The school's aim is to churn out products; academically strong and morally sound. This is a high calling; even parents cannot do that at home. I know it because I am also a parent. Isn't it true that we as parents sometimes fail to mould out beings that has the best combinations? Isn't it true that we need outsiders to teach and mould our children? As parents we allow emotions to rule our heads; so we must be brave to agree to allow our children to be changed and corrected by others for they learn best under other more objective ones.

 So, they become leaders, followers and partners in activities that bring out the grit in them. Never mind if they have to slog through days to get the societies they are in in full swing. Don't nag if they seem to be wasting time' doing the unrewarded tasks. Many a time it is during these struggles that the children become great characters in life. They are the ones who will shine in their work place. They are vocal, outward looking and charismatic.So, don't shun the activities they are involved in. The choir team is at its peak of its history int he school. Come join the choir.

 These 2 dedicated ones are strong in Mathematics and Science. Great teachers and leaders. The society need aspiring scientists !

 First timers to the school get a shock when 'Gangnam Style' was played in the air and on this registration morning, even the dance is welcome. So if you have a good attractive voice, Seafield.Fm is where you should be.

 The Interactors do not lack a following. Students flourish under the flagship of this society and many can public speak with full confidence.

 If you love acting, the school is here to support you. Just make sure you act well.

Doctors, nurses and paramedics are churned out quite successfully from this society. Do not think this is a play thing; many health care personnel have been developed through the teachings of this noble club. One of them up there will be in the health line; mark my words.

So, you see the school has been given the mandate to make beings out of her boys and girls.They come to school to learn and to mix and match.The journey is long and winding but it is a road many have to trudge along. At the end of the day, we really hope the children will learn to know what is right and wrong; what to say and not to say, what to do and not to do...

But most of all, they will lead meaningful lives; be a blessing to others and live well.

That really is what school is all about.
